Visual testing is an important technique of non-destructive testing. It is the first and simplest of the weld inspection processes that must be implemented. The goal of visual testing is inspection of the visual quality of the welds produced on assemblies. It allows detection of surface defects visible to the naked eye and the profile, location and dimensions of the welds.
Visual testing also integrates the important aspect of monitoring and procedural compliance in welding activities. Our inspectors are competent in these activities and are certified according to CSA W178.2.
For this type of inspection, we use our eyes, but also magnifying glasses, binoculars, endoscopes, gauges, etc.[/bscolumns]
